DIY Wedding Champagne FlutesIs your calendar full of late summer and fall weddings? If you are looking for an adorable DIY gift for the bride and groom that does not break the bank, look no further than Goodwill of Orange County! These champagne flutes are easy and fun to make. You can use them as a bridal shower gift, too!

Like all of our fun DIY projects, this one started with a trip to our favorite Goodwill of Orange County store to find the champagne flutes.

OC Goodwill section for glasswareThe 23 Goodwill stores across the county have a separate section for glassware so champagne flutes should be easy to find.

Once you have your flutes, here’s what else you need to get crafty!

Supplies
2 Champagne Flutes
3/16 inch Black Ribbon
3/16 inch White Ribbon (we chose one with silver lining)
5/8 inch White Ribbon
White Tulle
Hot Glue
Scissors
Let’s start with the Groom Flute:

Step 1:
Start at the bottom of the stem and glue the end of the black ribbon to the flute. From there, wrap the ribbon up the flute, gluing the ribbon every so often to the flute to ensure it is secure.
Note: Do a second wrap on the bottom for a cleaner look.

Step 2:
Out of the 5/8 inch white ribbon, cut a 4-inch piece. Loop the ribbon and glue the ends together.
Using the 3/16 inch white ribbon, wrap in the center and glue in place. This will make a bow for the groom flute.
Hot glue the bow to the neck of the glass where the black ribbon ends. The groom is now ready to go!
To Make the Bride Flute:

Step 1:
Just like with the groom flute, start at the bottom of the stem by gluing the end of the 3/16 inch white ribbon to the flute. Wrap the ribbon up the flute, gluing the ribbon every so often to secure it to the flute.
Note: Do a second wrap on the bottom for a cleaner look.

Step 2:
Using a piece of cardboard, wrap the your white tulle around the cut of cardboard several times until you get the desired thickness to create your bridal skirt.

Step 3:
Remove the tulle from the cardboard and tie a piece of 3/16 inch white ribbon in the middle to create a bow look. With a pair of scissors, cut the looped ends of the tulle.
Do this process twice to create a full, tulle skirt for your champagne flute!

Step 4:
Hot glue the two pieces of tulle to either side of the flute. Fluff the tulle and make sure to hide the place where they meet. Trim the tulle to your desired size.
And just like that — you have a great bridal gift made with love for the bride and groom to treasure for years to come!
